I avoid this facility if there is any way possible of doing so.

Each of the two times in twenty years that I have had a major medical emergency or life threatening situation, I have been taken care of with the utmost professionalism, from the EMS technicians to the emergency room staff technicians, nurses and doctors. Their extensive medical knowledge, along with exemplary efficiency, kindness and care played a significant role in saving my life. I can't thank them enough for being so thorough and efficient. I highly recommend Caldwell Medical Center.

I was sent to the ER by my employer for screening after exposure to possibly infectious liquids. The doctor their told me I had nothing to worry about and sent me home. I advised the doctor that I may have been exposed to human waste. The doctor still insisted that I had no chance of contracting any disease from this exposure. So again I advised the doctor that in the past I received blood test for a year (blood tested same day of exposure, 2 weeks later, 1,3,6,9 and 12 months later) for exposure to human waste. He seemed to get slightly aggravated and told me their was nothing he could do because it wasn't possible for me to be exposed to anything.

I can say as a patient at this hospital / ER, ive had few positive visits. One or two at the most. Several times the staff have been extremely rude and refused to complete services that i was sent there for. After an exposure to my eyes and face with biohazardous waste I was told I didn't need any testing I would be ok and couldn't get anything from exposure to my eyes..... That's just one of many nightmare experiences. Please if at all possible do not go to the ER or depend on just their opinions. Personally I will go to Paducah or Crittenden county.

Nurses here are terrible and extremely rude. She was walking by my hospital bed and hit her hip on my hand very hard, knocking the IV out of place. After I told her she hit my hand really hard and knocked the IV out of place, she was rude and denied it saying she didn’t touch me at all. 5 minutes later my hand swells up like a balloon, she comes in and tells me it is MY fault the IV was knocked out of place. The doctors are even worse. During that visit I checked into the ER due to severe abdominal pain. They did no scans whatsoever. Just sent me home with no medication, not even for pain. After the pain worsened I came back a few days later. I could barely speak due to the amount of pain I was in, the doctor accused me of being a drug seeker, was discharged a few hours later with no scans and no medication for pain. Also, no pain medication was administered while I was in there “care”. After being discharged I went immediately to Western Baptist health in Paducah they did several scans and found that my gallbladder was two times The size it was supposed to be and was only functioning at 3% and was completely made of scar tissue you I was rushed in for emergency surgery. Caldwell County Hospital is the worst place I have ever been in my life.

Over the years I have had several bad experiences at this hospital. However to be fair I'll just base this review on my last visit to the emergency room.
